Spring in Arizona is more like summer in most places with the weather already in triple digits. I guess you’ve lived in Arizona long enough if you’re wearing jeans when it’s 90 degrees out. I was so excited when I saw this blush color blouse on sale at Ann Taylor a few weekends ago. They sold out of the blush color but they do have the navy option available in all sizes. This top is only $30 on sale and totally worth it. Get 50% off your purchase (including sale items) now through Monday by using the code ‘Mystery50’. I’ll link some similar styles at the end of the post. I was also excited to find a pair of white skinny jeans that aren’t see-through, stretchy, and reasonably priced at Marshalls. I’ve been searching for a long time for the perfect white skinny jeans. The jeans I’m wearing are by Level 99. I’ve never heard of the brand before but really love these jeans. With the very popular blush color that’s in style right now, white jeans pair perfectly with blush.
I’ve had my eye on the Gucci Soho Disco Leather Bag for a while because I love the neutral color and simplicity of it. It’s very popular amongst the fashion bloggers. Because I’m going back to school, I have to be more conscious of how I’m spending my money and was so happy to find a similar version for less than $25 at DSW! I already have a black crossbody that I adore, but I did consider getting the same bag in black… and gray… and blush. It’s a great little bag if you don’t carry a lot in your purse (which I don’t).
Believe it or not, my sunglasses are the Kirkland brand from Costco. I couldn’t find them online but they’re $25 in the stores. I got them because I wanted a pair of “cheapy” sunglasses that I didn’t have to worry about scratching or losing. As part of the on-boarding process, we’ll be going to Lake Lanier for team-bonding activities. These sunglasses are cute and fit great. They’re also polarized and came with a great leather hardshell case. I love the tortoise color as I find black to be too hard on me. These are a great bargain so if you need a pair of new sunglasses, go to Costco now!
My gold wedge sandals are by Audrey Brooke and I picked them up from DSW a year or two ago. I live in gold and cognac colored shoes in the spring and summer. They’re a great neutral color that go with everything. Plus, I’m all about the all gold everything.
I’ve always believed that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on clothes to look good. The fit of the clothing is the most important. Plus, there are so many options out there for any price point. Don’t you hate it when you see a super cute dress on Instagram, you like the photo, and see on LiketoKnow.it that it’s $300?! I love when I find a similar piece for much less. TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Nordstrom Rack are a few great places for bargain hunting. Although, Poshmark has definitely been in the rotation lately. See my past blog post on Poshmark if you don’t know what I’m talking about.
I do like to splurge on accessories though. To me, it’s a much better value because you wear them a lot more, I don’t have to worry about ruining them with wear, and they also last a long time. While my Cape Cod bracelet isn’t necessary designer, I’ve had this bracelet since high school and wear it pretty much daily. However, there are ways to get designer pieces for a lot less. The Watch Station Outlet is where I’ve found both of my Michele watches. I got my David Yurman bracelet from their outlet in Vegas and picked up the Petite Albion ring in morganite off eBay. If you’re buying luxury anything online, make sure you do your research and read the buyer reviews. Keep in mind that most rings can be resized too. For example, mine was originally a size 6 but I had David Yurman resize it for me for $60. They did a wonderful job and there’s no seam at all. It’s also easier to resale designer items if you ever decide you don’t want it anymore. I always keep the original packaging and receipt.
I’ll try to do more fashion related posts if they’re something that interests you. Let me know what you want to see more of by leaving a comment. Huge thank you to my friend, Jason, for taking these beautiful photos for me!
